Current Olaplex directions are simple: wet the hair, apply No.3Plus from roots to ends, leave it for three minutes, rinse, then shampoo and condition. Olaplex says weekly use is sufficient for lasting repair and prevention, even though the product can be used more often.

For dense curls or coils, “roots to ends” does not mean scratching product into an irritated scalp or saturating hair with an uncontrolled amount.
